Better late than never!

So I finally got the pictures of Stephen's birthday party off my camera. And a whole bunch of other great pics, but mainly it was Stephen's birthday. So here's some pics. Stephen and his birthday candles (with a little help from Little Brother Z). And the awesome Larry Boy cake my mom made for him. (If you're not familiar with Larry Boy, click here to see what he looks like so you can see how great this cake really is.)

LT- This is just something she does for the kids she loves. She's done lots of really cute cakes. We keep trying to talk her into doing this professionally (or as a side job).

That is by far the best Larry Boy cake I have seen! Is there ANY chance she would be willing to share the directions? My son LOVES Larry Boy, and I have been looking online for cake ideas, but this is the only one that REALLY impressed me. The other ones were cute, but this one is amazing! It looks exactly like him!

She free-hands most of her cakes. She finds a picture, blows it up to about the size she wants the cake to be, cuts it out, then star tips the entire thing. E-mail me at alligirl1104@gmail.com and I'll get back to you with any more tips or directions after I talk to her.

I, too, am totally impressed with your son's Larryboy birthday cake! My son's 3rd birthday is coming up and when I saw this, I was inspired to make him a Larryboy cake as well...he's a total fan.:) I would really appreciate it if you would be able to share any tips beyond what you have already....thanks!!

What a great cake! My son is a total Larryboy fan and his 3rd birthday is coming up very SOON, so upon seeing this I was inspired to try making a cake for him. Are you and/or mom still willing to share more tips regarding how to get the cake to look so realistic (other than the fact that your mom is obviously very talented and artistic)? Thanks
