Nope, you're not the only one. I don't know much about Twilight, but what I do know I don't see the appeal.
I have to admit that I was avoiding it until one of my book clubs picked the first book as our selection one month. I felt like I had to read it and then I got hooked. But I can completely understand how it's not appealing to you.
ive never heard of it???
I'm on the train. I really enjoyed the series. It was nice and romantic. I'm not saying it is Gone with the Wind or a classic or anything, but it was enjoyable. I am a middle school teacher, and I recommend it to my students-it is an easy book to read and it captures the reader's interest, which is the point of a book! I think you might like it, but its okay if you don't!
Oh, see, two more people there with you... you know I'm all aboard. :) I've always had a thing for vampires though. I have no idea why.
I've read the first one so far, because i wanted to know my everyone's talking about them. I can totally see why all these adolescent girls are in LOVE with the series. I didn't think it was very good writing, and the plot was only so-so until the last hundred pages or so.
My students assure me it gets even better, though. i am curious enough to get the 2nd book, but have not read it yet.
If I had a dollar for every book I've seen "hidden" under a desk during class, I would be rich. I just can't bear to stop them-- it goes again what I'm trying to do to get them to read and it goes against the 17 year old girl I once was with a book in MY lap.
I hate vampire books and I know it will give me nightmares, but I'm reading it anyway. I'm on page 87. I'm not hooked yet, but we'll see.
they arent into a book about vampires?!?! disturbing :( thats now what little girls (or anyone) should be reading much less totally captivated by! am i missing something??? seems so dark :(
