It's better to just avoid it altogether

We were on the way to my folks' house this afternoon to eat dinner and it just so happened that one of my mom's friends was eating dinner with us tonight, too. In the car, on the way there, I was reminding the boys to use their manners. "Remember to say 'yes, ma'am' and 'no ma'am' and look her in the eye when you are talking or when she's talking to you. And don't forget to say 'Hello, nice to meet you' when she gets there."

Zachary, worried that he might forget his manners, said, "Mama, I just won't talk at all."

sounds like a great plan to me! :) I had that talk with Jayna on the way to a friends house tonight and she just kept saying "why mommy?". Dont touch her things ok. "Why mommy?" Because she doesnt want you to. "why mommy"....repeat, repeat, repeat. aaaaah! :)

evie (and the boys) are CUUUUUUTIES themselves!

and omg i just saw the beautiful gown that evie "christened". isn't that how it works? i simply utter the words "man!! you look cute today!" and suddenly vile things start to projectile out of my childs openings.
