I'm at my parents right now. I'm going home today, but it looks like Ike is headed straight for us. Our little town so far from the coast could be getting hurricane force winds. We're in the process of deciding now what we're going to do--stay or leave. Whatever we do, we've already unhooked our CPU at home, so I won't be around for a few days, so I'm posting now to let you know what's going on so you don't worry or wonder where I am while this thing is hitting. I'll get back to the blog as soon as I can.
Love all around.

I was wondering about you. I know you're in the area, but not sure where (not asking you to share here!). Here by Memorial Park we're "sheltering in place." We have lots of water and non-perishable food and flashlights and an LED lantern. We can't board up our windows, but hopefully it won't be so windy this far inland. Although if our craptastic single pane windows break, we could replace them with energy- and heat-efficient double-paned windows.
Right now I'm just glad for a day off and not thinking about the makeup day. I'll be praying for you guys!
we will be praying for you! we are so far north but we are still being advised to so some preperation - fill gas tanks, have flashlights and water ready, etc.
(((HUGS))) stay safe.
